[Summer Intensive] Working With Healing Dreams

Bridging Ancient & Modern Methods To Connect With The Higher Self

Featuring Gitte Bechsgaard RP PhD CIYT-III & Professor Gillian McCann PhD

Live Online Group Workshop – August 14th – August 25th, 2025

“Your dreams will guide you if you are willing to receive their guidance.

Your willingness can arise either from understanding and using your intelligence properly or from desperation, when you are in so much trouble or pain that listening to your higher Self is your only recourse.

You can learn by cooperating with the Divine or you can learn by being forced into it…”

– Swami Radha

During this new summer series, interested seekers of the spiritual, metaphysical, and the psychological will get a unique opportunity to engage in deep dream work through group collaboration, inspiring lectures on healing dreams, and guided contemplative practices.

Psychologist Gitte Bechsgaard RP PhD CIYT-III joins friend and colleague Dr. Gillian McCann to host this exclusive online Dreamwork intensive with a tight-knit group of dedicated participants.

Gillian’s recently published book Health and Healing in World Religions: A Guide To Developing Cultural Competences deeply explores several fascinating topics on healing mind, body, and spirit – including the long history of healing dreams across the world’s religious traditions.

In this live online dream workshop, you will join together with other seekers of the soul to examine a variety of historic and contemporary approaches to dream analysis, including preparatory lectures on:

  • The Fundamental Approaches To Work With Healing Dreams: Exploring Ancient & Contemporary Methods Of Dream Interpretation

  • How To Cultivate Specific Sadhanas To Lead You Through The Sacred Art Of Dream Healing – Utilizing Practices Such As Guided Visualization & Meditation To Journey To Depths Of The Soul Previously Unknown

  • Understanding The Similarities & Differences Across World’s Spiritual and Dream Traditions

  • Techniques & Understanding From Analytical Psychology: Modern Discoveries In Healing Through Dreams & Visions

  • Methods From Ancient Greece On “Dream Incubation” And Soul Healing – Integrating Classic Approaches To Connect With The Higher Self

Once you’ve cultivated a personal approach in listening to your “big dreams”, the floodgates of the soul burst open.

Newfound clarity and gifts of spiritual guidance come forth, leading you to your inner path.

These dreams have long been called Satya Graha in the Yogic Tradition – literally meaning the dreams which grab us with their insights and Truth-Bearing-Wisdom.

Seekers often uncover unresolved psychic pain.

Inner existential struggles striving to express themselves through dreams.

The Yogic tradition maintains modern relevance through its teaching that our afflictive emotions (kleshas) are born of that hidden unresolved pain.

Philosophies, Religions, and psychologies of East and West alike long emphasized the importance of this dreamwork.

Tibetan Monk, Minge Rinpoche, once said we must “make the choice between the discomfort of being aware of our mental afflictions versus the discomfort of being ruled by them.”

Many years prior, renowned psychologist R.D. Laing spoke of ‘the inner life of the heart’ as one of the three greatest universal fears.

In accessing one’s Inner Life through the sharing of dreams and other Self-inquiry practices (Svādhyāya) we are slowly freed from fear, from inner afflictions that risk dominating our lives.

Often for years, without our conscious awareness.

As a Yogic seeker, this particular journey of self-discovery is of vast importance.

It carries an incredible potential to lead you to the Inner Abiding Self.

As Swami Sivananda Radha wrote in the book Realities of The Dreaming Mind: The Practice of Dream Yoga

“If you can listen to yourself, the guidance from the unconscious through dreams will be extremely valuable. The direction for which spiritual Path you should follow can be given to you by your own Higher Self in a dream or series of dreams.”

– Swami Radha

Needless to say, the journey to the Self is a deeply personal path.

And yet, it doesn’t need to be taken alone.

The common thread which unites us all allows one to benefit from shared insight and mutual recognition.

This summer’s sharing will provide you with time tested techniques and experienced collective guidance to gain newfound clarity and confidence in navigating your inner world for many years to come.
